US Airways to Reduce Pittsburgh Service

As expected, US Airways said that it will significantly reduce service to Pittsburgh, Charlotte and Philadelphia this fall, instead focusing on point-to-point service. In fact, only 25% of flights will go through one of those three hubs. Coupling these changes with its GoFares low fare program, US Airways is looking much more like a low fare carrier. Unfortunately, the key to being a low fare carrier is low costs, something it has yet to achieve.
