Virgin Delays A380 Delivery

May 18th, 2004 | By Jared Blank

Plane nerds hoping to enjoy a flight with 850 of their closest friends from London to Los Angeles will have to wait a year longer than they thought. Virgin Atlantic postponed delivery of their A380s for a year because too few airports are making plans to accomodate the enormous double-decker aircraft. Not a huge deal, but from a PR perspective Airbus cannot be happy about this. I’m sure Boeing is preparing their “I told ya so” press release right now. Well not RIGHT now, as it’s 7 o’clock in the morning. But you know what I’m saying.
