Delta has a press release today announcing that it will offer zone boarding (rather than boarding by rows) on many international flights. The release notes:
“Introducing the zone boarding procedure to most Delta-operated international originating flights, further demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with speed and convenience whenever and from wherever they travel,” said Rich Cordell, Delta’s senior vice president – Airport Customer Service.
The release then says that zone boarding will not be implemented in Paris, Nice or Zurich.
So, to sum up, Delta will demonstrate their commitment to customers wherever they travel except France and Switzerland. To our travelers in those countries, screw you and wait till your row is called.
