Boeing to Launch 7E7

After much speculation, Boeing has announced a customer for its new 7E7 aircraft—the plane that will replace the 757 and 767 in the coming years. All Nippon Airways will purchase 50 of the jets—the largest launch order in Boeing’s history—and take delivery beginning in 2008. The bigger news for Boeing is that the order will allow them to move forward with the 7E7, a question mark before ANA jumped in. The new aircraft’s selling point is that it will use less fuel than currently available planes.
