First Class Oddness
Mar 4th, 2004 | By Jared BlankI’m not quite the first one to point this one, but things have gotten slightly insane with first class airfares. Playing around on Continental’s site last night, I noticed that a full-fare coach round trip from EWR-LAX was about $2000. I’m not sure, then, why first class cost around $1200 (it’s now about $1700). Or why a full-fare coach ticket EWR-LAS is $2150 while a first class seat on the same flight is about $1400. As much as I’ve complained repeatedly about how Delta’s Song has confused Delta’s brand message by offering a better product with their so-called low-fare carrier, this is even more ridiculous.
