With the holiday yesterday, there’s very, very little news here in the US, so I’ll pass along a couple of items from overseas.
After last week’s crash, the government of Uzbekistan has grounded its 6 remaining Yak-40 aircraft. I use “aircraft” loosely, as they seem to spend less time in the air and more time crashed into the ground.
And Belgian charter airline Sobelair declared bankruptcy on Monday. Sobelair was formerly owned by the now-defunct Sabena.
I told you it was a slow news day.
