Northwest to Frontier: Drop Dead

Dec 22nd, 2003 | By Jared Blank

Frontier Airlines announced last week that they are branching out from their Denver hub to launch service from Los Angeles. These flights include a flight to Minneapolis.

Northwest Airlines, which never met a competitor it didn’t hate with a nearly unreasonable vengeance, added MSP-LAX flights and, inexplicably, LAX-DEN. The latter flights were added solely to harass Frontier. Northwest has done this many times before (ask Sun Country and Spirit how they feel about Northwest’s capacity dumping). While legal (I suppose), they are a brutal competitor.
